Qualcomm releases new chipset for flagship phones

Qualcomm has introduced Snapdragon 8 Elite, its latest premium chipset for flagship mobile phones, which brings significant improvements in performance and energy efficiency.

Built in an advanced 3nm manufacturing process, the new chipset offers up to 45% better performance compared to its predecessors, with 27% lower energy consumption. The central component is the Oryon CPU, which reaches a maximum frequency of 4.32 GHz, which ensures top performance in gaming and graphics tasks with lower latency.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite offers top-of-the-line specifications that significantly improve the user experience.The 3nm process enables better energy efficiency, extending battery life. Two main Kryo cores ensure faster execution of demanding applications, and six performance Kryo cores improve multitasking. The advantage of ARM processors is precisely that they have different cores, the main ones are focused on performance in demanding tasks, while the others (performance ones, of which there are six) are in charge of operations that require efficiency.

Adreno GPU enables impressive graphics performance, ideal for games and high resolutions. With support for 5G and WiFi 7, users can expect fast and stable connections, while UFS 4.0 enables fast application loading and data storage. High display frequencies (4K/60Hz and QHD+/144Hz) guarantee a smooth visual experience.

Processor’s AI capabilities

Special emphasis is placed on artificial intelligence (AI). Snapdragon 8 Elite uses advanced AI cores (neural processing unit – NPU) that enable faster and more efficient execution of complex tasks such as face, voice and object recognition in real time. Thanks to this NPU, devices can perform processes such as translation, battery optimization, and camera adjustments on the fly, without the need to connect to external servers. These capabilities also significantly improve photo and video performance, enabling advanced post-processing functions for cleaner, sharper images.
