Telecom companies must reconsider how best to defend their mobile networks and protect their subscribers, says Dmitry Kurbatov, co-founder and CTO of global mobile telecom security start-up SecurityGen.
Deutsche Telekom pointed out that 92% of households can access their 5G network. The German operator said it expanded its mobile services to as many as 855 locations across the country in the past seven weeks, adding 5G capacity to 123 locations.
The conference “Secure 5G for Southeast Europe”, the first of its kind in Croatia, is being held at Sheraton Zagreb Hotel from July 13 to July 15 – organized by the US Department of Commerce, with the support of the US Department of State and the US Embassy in Croatia.
Ericsson, French aerospace company Thales, and wireless technology innovator Qualcomm Technologies, plan to launch 5G into space and provide full global coverage through a network of satellites orbiting the Earth.
