In the highly dynamic market of mobile devices, the best-selling smartphones in Croatia in the year behind us were those from the house of Samsung. The South Korean brand is a convincing leader in the domestic market, followed by Xiaomi, which achieved great results in 2021, but failed to overtake Samsung.

In 2021, the Samsung Galaxy A12 rose to the top of the best-selling phone list. Omdia reports that Samsung shipped as many as 51.8 million Galaxy A12 phones last year, surpassing Apple’s mobile phone shipments, which had almost always come first.

In just three months, from April to the end of June, 50.1 million smartphones were sold in Europe, so total sales increased by a whopping 14 percent compared to the same period in 2020.

Samsung is still the leader in the smartphone market, however, for the first time in history, Chinese Xiaomi took second place in terms of sales, pulling ahead of Apple – according to reports from the analyst firm Canalys.

Pandemic notwithstanding, some smartphone manufacturers have recorded significant growth in sales on the domestic market.
