Global smartphone shipments experienced robust growth in the first quarter of 2024, increasing by 11% compared to the previous year, according to the latest research from Canalys. This surge in shipments reflects a resurgence in consumer demand as the global economy continues to recover from the impacts of the pandemic.

In the past three months of 2023, global smartphone sales experienced an 8 percent year-over-year decline, marking the ninth consecutive quarter of decreased sales. However, the market still saw a 2 percent growth compared to the previous fiscal quarter.
